Using Okta Apps
How does Opal import Okta applications?
There are two ways for you to import your Okta apps into Opal.
Auto-import via group assignment
Opal automatically imports Okta Apps that are assigned to Okta Groups. If an Okta Group is imported into Opal and there are Okta Apps assigned to the group, then Opal will automatically import these apps.
Best Practice
In most cases, organizations will want to import applications via Okta groups since this is the easiest way to import existing group and application relationships.
Manual import
You can use the Opal UI to manually select which Okta Apps to import into Opal. To do this, under Catalog, within your Okta App, click on ... -> Import items.
From here, you can filter by type Okta App, and select any apps that you want to import into Opal.
